The collection of online teaching ideas and news has become a major way for teachers and educators to keep their finger on the pulse of ELT and the use of EdTech in Learning and Teaching in recent years - as has the 'storage' and cataloguing of these ideas. For many of us, this sometimes feels like a full-time job. This is why we often turn to 'professional curators', people who may also have a full-time job but make curation seem like child's play.

 

Many of these curators specialise in two or three topics and use tools like ScoopIt or Pinterest to store and share the online teaching ideas and news they are interested in.

 

Sites like Scoop.It can be expensive to set up and run, but luckily most teachers can open a free account (that needs to be renewed every month) and curate a list of their 'favourite curators'.
